Biggest Public transport bus depot in the world
The depot has been built to park the buses to be used during the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. The bus depot has been built at a cost of nearly $14 million and has a parking space for around 1,000 low-floorbuses besides facilities including five workshop-cum scanning centers, a logistics centre and two CNG filling stations.
It has a baggage checking centre where sophisticated equipment will scan the luggage.
This depot has a control room which will monitor movement of buses, fitted with sophisticated GPS system, during the Commonwealth Games and ensure proper movement of the fleet.
